Interlinked

Somehow people get intertwined throughout inevitable journeys. They will share experiences, hardships, and laughter, but what will forever keep them interconnecting, is kindness. Certain people repay acts of kindness in different ways but, the sentiment and memory of the act will never vanish.

Flora leaves her hometown in Mexico for an exchange year in Guam during her sophomore year. She is ecstatic to leave for something new, and encounter a new world. Upon arriving she is met with new opportunities, new people who forevermore impact her soul. Learning not all people have the same intentions, and kindness is something common, she fights for the new people in her life. Guam is slowly dying, dying at the hands of those who breathe its air. It would take hours on end of hard work and a miracle to restore the island to what it once was. While the bonds form and strengthen so does the island, what would an oblivious boy say to that. Flora's new presence leaves an impact on those she encountered. How will her intertwining bonds continue once she leaves?
