I was a Mortuary Transporter. I was ok with many jobs removing bodies from homes. I have mostly removed elderly people who have just died in their sleep. It was tame and I had no problem meeting families and comforting them and helping them mourn and they were so thankful. But I had this one job that made me rethink my job, life, and faith. And if we actually die, or does our boby die with our soul trapped in the rotten corpse? Can someone possess their own body after they die? Am I dead?

She is Fatal to Death (Standalone Story)
She's dead by the third chapter. Okay, it's a bit more complicated than that. Okay, it's A LOT more complicated than that. Renata wants nothing more than to pay her bills through her mildly boring office job and figure out whether she is still in love with her best friend. As a child you always fear the monster under your bed or in your closet. Maybe you watched a scary movie or were told a horror story to make you believe something was under there. You jump onto your bed and jerk your limbs away from the edge or always shut your closet door. Then you hide under the covers in hopes that they don't get to you. As you grow older you realize the invisible monster under your bed is just that, invisible. Its not that they don't exist, it's just that you don't see them. You write off the bumps in the night as the wind or shifting floorboards but they're lies. Little white lies you tell yourself so you can sleep at night. Well I'm here to tell you that whatever is causing those bumps is very real. In my case, the source doesn't hide in my closet but rather under my bed. You'd thinking dying in the hospital due to a terminal illness would mean the end of the story. Not for me though. After having months to come to terms with my incoming death I was pretty prepared for the end. To bad after dying I woke up back up a week later in my grave. Now I'm alive again (sorta). To make matters worst apparently my existence is illegal as hell according to supernatural law. Now I got a pissed off supernatural council mad at me for just existing! Lucky for me it turns out I unknowingly made a quite a few super natural friends while I was human . All willing to help and vouch for me. But this transition is a rough one and it turns out I may more powerful than I should be.
