In the year 3067, a ruthless totalitarian regime has seized power, ostensibly to protect the people from the chaos and uncertainty of the past. Citizens are monitored constantly, with every action and thought subject to the relentless surveillance and scrutiny of the all-powerful government. Free will, individuality, and dissent have been systematically eradicated in the name of security and social stability. The oppressive conditions imposed by the regime have taken a heavy psychological toll on the population. Widespread depression, anxiety, and feelings of helplessness pervade society as people struggle to find meaning and purpose within the confines of the dystopian system. Many have simply given up, resigned to lives of obedience and quiet desperation. The story follows Vala, a young woman who has grown up knowing nothing but this bleak existence. Vala has always dutifully followed the rules and accepted the government's carefully crafted narrative, until a chance encounter causes her to question the very foundations of the society she has been raised in. As Vala digs deeper, she uncovers a sinister conspiracy at the heart of the regime and realize that the freedoms they've been told were traded for safety were in fact violently stripped away. Those who dare to resist the government's control face harsh punishments, including imprisonment, "reeducation," and in some cases, outright execution. Faced with this grim reality, Vala must decide whether to remain complicit in the face of this tyranny or risk everything to ignite a revolution and restore autonomy to the people.
