"We were just friends and I am not allowed to miss you this way." It is believed that the purest form of love is when the love is for the worst parts of somebody. Loving somebody in their darkest form, until love becomes an obsession. Naive. Credulous. Sensitive. Saisha Jha was the most popular student in her batch. Her extrovert nature and a beautiful smile were two of the reasons, while her virtuous heart was the most important one. She could make anyone fall in love with her, everyone around her used to like her, but him. Sophisticated. Suspicious. Insensitive. Reyansh Arora, somebody who hated Saisha Jha from his core. Why? She scored a close call to his topper rank in the university. He was entirely the opposite of her, introvert nature, cold face, inexpressible face, stone heart, but academically, both were the best. Having the charms of a popular guy, Reyansh was still invisible to the class, but her. "He was a very, very weird guy," "She was a very, very weird girl." Similar thoughts, yet unsimilar destiny. God always tests the ones who are strong enough to deal with it. If they're not strong enough, but have the heart to, he sends help in the most unexpected way. A way, she could never imagine.

She gasped, her palm landing on my chest for balance, but I didn't care. "Look in my eyes and say it, Sanvi." My voice was low, breaking at the edges. "Look at me and say every fucking moment meant nothing. That you never loved me." Her lips parted, her eyes trembling with unshed tears. She hesitated. Then-her gaze turned cold. "I never loved you, Akshat," she whispered. Silence. Her words fell between us like shattered glass- small, sharp, impossible to ignore. My chest tightened. My ears buzzed. She doesn't mean it. She can't mean it. "I liked you, but not anymore. It was just infatuation." The final nail in the coffin. I dragged in a breath, but it never reached my lungs. Lies. ×××××××××××××××××××× They met in college. Two quiet souls who spoke more through glances than words. He was her best friend's brother... She was his brother's bestfriend From strangers to friends. From best friends to lovers. And then- A heartbreak time couldn't fix. Because some stories don't end, they simply pause until fate presses play again. ××××××××××××××××××××
