Enter Chantale Stone, 24 years old, British born but of Haitian origin, who thinks she has life all figured out by now, but is still finding herself.

With a life that has few friends, but a string of "romances", and flings attached to it. She has built a negative reputation for herself.

Someone who started out so innocent and loving, turned out to become hard, remote, and unfeeling.

Chantale believes she is hard-done-by and that the world owes her. Feeling burnt by most she has ever loved or trusted, she isolates herself and builds up walls impenetrable....

Or so she thought... that is until she meets a man called Serge who entices her very being, and challenges every rule she has ever established to keep herself removed.
