Sigyn is trying to stop a war; a war of vengeance her father, ruler of Jotunheim, promises. But to challenge the Gods over stolen lands means a bloodbath for the jotun, so Sigyn condemns her father's war cry. Her insubordination invites death to her door. With the help of her servant she escapes to the nearest safe-haven - Earth, and vows never to return home. In the simple mortal world, she can live however she chooses - as long as the humans don't get too close. But the pull of the unknown is too much for one girl to resist, and Sigyn can't find the heart to push her away. 

Each passing day, Sigyn's longing for home and the fear of certain death awaking her deepens as more giants - friends and enemies - infiltrate the mortal world. Just when she believes she has cheated her fate, news breaks: Odin is dead, and a universal war is inevitable. To protect the world she has grown to love, Sigyn must reclaim her title as Heir of Jotunheim and fulfill a fate destined to fail.

But what happens if Fenrir's tomb is opened by a mortal instead? What happens when the siblings of Ragnarok are shown a different choice other then what fate had decreed? Some times it's not about saving the world, just saving one soul that can change the fate of all the rest. How do you stop a god that doesn't care and wants to destroy?
