Harper and her small family who are from Miami needed a break.after a miserable school year for Harper looking friends,loosing hope she wanted to start over and be known as her own person.her brother max on the other hand is different he was always popular and older then Harper when they started going to outer banks she was 12 he was 16 and that's when the story starts that when she met her neighbors and found home in them in her friendship with them untill 13 years later she got a call and realized she wish she wasn't woken.
