(a soulmate story) Gwen Degray is pretty sure she has her life figured out. She gets decent grades, is excelling in the art of dance, and is popular at her high school. She was even lucky enough to find the guy on the other end of her red string, the string that connects all the soulmates in her town. He's everything she could ever want Gwen has it all. Everything changes when she finds out her boyfriend is cheating on her multiple girls. Her best friend is convinced she's going to live a life of silence. The school jock doesn't know who he is. The cold-hearted girl keeps secrets. The bully is realizing he might not be doing the right thing. The sweetest of them all is drowning in the closet, and Gwen somehow gets caught up in everything, but these just people aren't just anyone, they're her friends. They're a mess but they're her mess and she's sticking with them no matter what.

Each part in this book, has words that come from someone, whose heart has been through what it's like to desperately need someone, but have to painfully never be able to have them, to love them, to give their hearts to them, like their souls are calling out to do.
