A week or so after High Queen Jude had slayed the serpent, Reverie Darkwood returns to Insmire after spending a year in the Undersea.
Once returning to Insmire, she meets a boy who causes her life to bend in ways she could never have expected. As she discovers secrets covered by the Greenbriar line for years, she realises that Elfhame still has so much more to show, and she intends to be the one to show it.
