Let Loose the Rouge

The perfect pawn. A piece useful enough to win the entire game without being taken by the opponent. That was the name given to the notorious assassin, Rouge. Real name, Cassius Noir. A commoner with a rare blessing who traded away his soul and became a loyal dog to the notorious Duke Archester. He plotted, schemed, lied, stole, and murdered all without being caught for seven years straight. That glorious lifestyle ended, though, when he fell in love with a former classmate of his; Aurélie Beauséjour. Aura, a righteous young Marquess, is only able to return his affection until she finds out about his heinous life. She confessed to the Crown Prince, another man pining for her love, exposing Cassius' crimes.

Executed with no mercy, Cassius sent a final prayer up to the God who bestowed upon him his blessing. In return, despite his sins, he received a second chance to live. Although, this second chance was merely him returning to his past, and having to avoid his future executer and girlfriend like they were the plague.
