10 years ago, one of the massive Judgement Dragons, Ragnarok, attacked the massive city of Ba'vael.

Avalon, a child at the age of 8 at the time, lost his family and friends and was one of the 7 survivors that was exposed to something called a Resonance Awakening that a Judgement Dragon gives off. In this supposed blessing, out of all the summons that Avalon could be stuck with, he gets stuck with his own murdurer, Ragnarok.

Avalon spends his next ten years not knowing that Ragnarok is inside his own soul, waiting to awaken when the time is right. However before this event, Avalon unknowingly meets another Holder, who is supposedly the Chosen Holder with the ability to host two summons and copy any summon's Finisher. However she doesn't know this and does not know that she holds the Divine Summon Kirin—a pegasus-like beast that uses the power of wind and healing, and Ifrit, a Demonic Summon with the power of hellish fire and power.
