Set in a futuristic utopia. It had been 100 years since Chicago had been destroyed from the war, they were slowly rebuilding the city. The city was soon after divided into five groups, factions, all based upon human virtues. Abnegation, the selfless. Dauntless, the brave. Erudite, the smart. Candor, the honest and Amity, the peaceful. These factions were created to keep everlasting peace. Unless you appear to be Divergent, Divergents cannot be controlled, they are considered a threat to society. Being one means there's a high possibility you may die, and Ashton Irwin was one of them.

Resurgent: A Divergent Story//editing
The war never happened. All the couples got married and had kids. Divergents are still a big threat, but there is a bigger threat now. Resurgent. They can control their fears, like a divergent, but someone who is resurgent can control and block out pain. Resurgence is extremely rare, but very threatening to the faction system. A resurgent has aptitude for all five factions. When Tris and Tobias' daughter, Al, finds out she is resurgent, she goes through the challenges of trust and loyalty, to find who she really is Veronica Roth wrote the original story. Four x reader (Divergent)
{BOOK ONE} There are five factions. Each had their own reasoning for thinking why the war had happened. Dauntless; cowardice and fear. They strive to be brave, fearless. Erudite; ignorance. They strive for intellect, to be smart and curious. Candor; deception. They strive to be honest. Amity; they blamed the war itself along with fighting. They strive to be kind, forgiving, peaceful. Abnegation; selfishness. So they strive to be selfless. Dauntless are our police. Erudite are our teachers. Candor is the law. Amity are the farmers. And Abnegation are our government. I would sit on the ground everyday, wearing my yellow dress with black sandals. Wasn't the best thing for me. Dresses made my shoulders to broad, especially the flowing ones. When I was home alone, or with my mother, I would wear I tight black shirt and white shorts. No one would really approve, mostly because they were Candor colours along with the fact it's not... welcoming enough. I never understood Amity, not because of the kindness and the peacefulness; well, mostly the peacefulness. Whenever it should come down to defending ourselves or walking away. We walked away. It confused me. Maybe I wasn't Amity enough to understand. Maybe I wasn't kind enough. Maybe, just maybe, I didn't belong here. So where do I belong?
