Phantom Thieves of Hope: The Phantom X
Phantom Thieves of Hope is a crossover fanfiction combining two of my favorite video game series: Danganronpa and Persona 5. It centers around the main protagonists from the Danganronpa series forming their own version of the Phantom Thieves. In The Phantom X, there's a concept called Phantom Idols-cognitive beings formed in the Velvet Room based on the protagonist's perception. These cognitions are shaped from individuals the main character knows, has seen, or interacted with in some way, especially those with strong or once-strong desires. Since they support the protagonist like idols, Merope, the game's Velvet Attendant, refers to them as Phantom Idols. These Phantom Idols use Persona Duos, which are Personas created from Shadows in Mementos and the desires within the protagonist's cognition. In essence, this spinoff is an anthology of short stories featuring various characters from the Phantom Thieves of Hope universe reimagined as Phantom Idols. They assist the Phantom Thieves in their missions and are granted Personas and Phantom Thief identities they didn't have in the original story. This is a non-canon, just-for-fun side project that gets updated alongside the main fic.
