Keith Kogane was born without a soulmate, he always hoped it'll one day show up... Until he meets his mom he finds out that Galra doesn't have soulmates, well at least not in the human way. For Galra you'll know by during and after your first heat or rut, you'll be able to talk to them in your mind the whole time. But Keith was half Human and Galra, so they didn't know what was going to happen.

Keith was hopeful once again but over time he hadn't had his first heat or rut yet- Hell! He was 18 for gods sake! And apparently Galra get them whenever! And Keith never remembers any of what his mom told him happened to him, yet. But his mom always told him to be patient, so he listened begrudgingly.

Lance McCain was born with the soulmate name on his upper thigh, he always looked for anyone with the name Keith Kogane but no luck. Until he went to Garrison, there he heard of a teen in the fighter pilot class named that. he was so happy but he never got to tell him, then the teen got kicked out. But then Lance got to meet Keith again but he never acknowledge that he was his soulmate. Fine! If he wouldn't acknowledge him, he instead will be a rival. But not long after him, Hunk, Pidge, Keith and Shiro were shot into space on a big blue lion.

But Lance would always try and tell Keith, but he was always interrupted. So he gave up...

Until that one day...
