Y/n met Sam and Colby in high school, she never approached them, but they decided to talk to her during a band camp in which they all attended. Together, they end up starting their vine career together before moving on to youtube. Y/n was their camera person for the vines, but chose to join in when they started their youtube career.

After Colby and Y/n do eventually get together, the other chapters will not entirely be plot based, mainly moments of their life.
