Embarking on my first solo quest filled me with a mix of excitement and trepidation. My name is Lisa, a 16-year-old Demon Hunter ready to take on the forces of darkness that lurk in the shadows. With determination burning bright within me, I step forward into this perilous world where demons roam freely and danger awaits at every turn.
Armed with courage as my shield and skill as my sword, I venture forth to confront evil head-on. The path ahead may be fraught with challenges beyond imagination, but I am undaunted by the trials that lie in wait for me.
As a young warrior destined to battle against malevolent entities from realms unknown, each encounter will test not only my physical prowess but also my mental fortitude. Every victory brings me closer to mastering the art of demon hunting while every setback serves as valuable lessons learned along this arduous journey.
With unwavering resolve coursing through my veins like wildfire, I stand tall amidst adversity knowing that it is not just about vanquishing foes but also about discovering inner strength and unlocking hidden potential waiting to be unleashed upon these dark adversaries.
So here begins an epic saga of bravery and valor; one where Lisa -the fearless Demon Hunter- rises up against all odds in pursuit of justice and peace for those haunted by nightmares spawned from infernal depths.

In JOS I set the rogue and con-artist Harric against a foil of warriors in a land threatened by magic and civil war. Whenever possible I turn familiar tropes on their heads: instead of a handsome young Lancelot, I cast a broken-down ex-champion addicted to pain-killing herbs; instead of a dashing Squire Brian, the old knight reluctantly takes an ambitious young woman as squire. Similarly, I re-imagine the standard medieval milieu by infusing aspects of two of my favorite historical periods, Elizabethan England, and The American Frontier. Both eras boast a kind of nationalistic arrogance that borders on hubris, and a magnificent spirit of resourcefulness and re-invention that is fun to play with.
