After faking his death in 2016 to protect his loved ones from the Yakuza world, Kiryu retreats to Fukuoka, hoping for anonymity and reflection. But peace remains elusive as his past refuses to stay buried. The quiet streets offer no refuge from the bloodshed and betrayal that still haunt him, challenging his very identity.
Kiryu's journey becomes one of self-exploration, facing not only external adversaries but the tension between the man he was and the man he hopes to become. The Dragon of Dojima may be gone, but his struggle for redemption-both for others and for himself-remains. But his past won't let go so easily.
So he encounters Saki Yoshida, a young girl that was caught and dragged into the world of human trafficking, prostitution and drugs, thus reminding Kiryu that his purpose is still tied to justice and protection.
As he confronts the forces holding Saki captive, the symbol of redemption grows clearer. Each action, each fight, helps Kiryu reclaim pieces of his former self, finding new meaning in his life-not defined by the Yakuza or his reputation, but by his unyielding will to protect the innocent. But the deeper the two go into Japan's underworld, the more they realizes that escape is not as simple as leaving the past behind.
Kiryu's isolation deepens as the man he tires to become is forever at odds with the warrior the world once knew. While Saki tries to learn whats right and wrong, good and evil, and see if she can escape her current hell.
