A little story where Sam Wilson never got given the shield. In fact he never met Steve Rogers at all.
    
    Bucky Barnes, a 106 year old ex-HYDRA assassin got given the shield after Steve passed it on.. With all his guilt about his past how does he cope with the added responsibility? Will meeting Sam along the way help? And with an old friend joining the scene, how will Bucky overcome his past?
