After a mass casualty event, Stiles couldn't handle staying in the FBI any longer, feeling he needed to find out some things about himself, and knew that he wouldn't find it inside the Bureau. 

Once his resignation had been turned in, and all his material possessions had been sold, Stiles took a leap of faith and traveled the world, living out of a single suitcase as he searched for his answers. 

Eventually, after 3 years of searching, Stiles' answer leads him to Los Angeles, paired with Field Sergeant Athena Grant as his Training Officer. 

Only, Stiles didn't think he'd run into familiar face after familiar face.
