"What are they for?" I asked, pinching my nose with my thumb and index finger.
He laughed at me, and removed my fingers away from my nose, "It doesn't stink, Luci, I promise."
I smiled and nodded, Jason was my best friend, I trusted him with everything.
"What are your sneakers for?" I asked again, pointing to the sneakers he was holding.
"For you," He said and handed me a pair.
I looked at him like he grew four heads, but accepted it hesitantly. "Why are you giving it to me?"
"It's a gift," He grinned, "After seven beat up pairs, we can be together."
