This is about two junior girls in high school that have been best friends since elementary school. "Belly" is Mahogany's best friend who's crushing on a guy named "Derek" in her choir class. "Mahogany" is the one that helps Belly start dating Derek. Derek and Mahogany start to be friends. Derek and Mahogany got very close to each other while Derek was dating Mahogany's best friend (Belly). They got to the point where they we best friends. Belly and Derek break up. Mahogany and Belly stop being friends after Mahogany noticed that Belly lied to her a lot and that she talked behind her back. Derek and Mahogany maintain being friends then they start liking each other but they never really said it to each other. Everyone in school knew they liked each other even they knew it but they didn't want to ruin their friendship. The school year ends and Derek moves away leaving Mahogany with a broken heart. Mahogany fell in love with Derek and she can't get over him. Summer seemed so sad to her.
