Two hidden communities, each protected by magic, collide when Starsong the young dragon falls into the valley of the Camberbound mages. Enden, a trans boy on the cusp of adulthood who has never left the valley, must travel the long way around to the dragons' cove with Starsong and Mirth, a Keeper's Guardian who is as unlike his name as it's possible to be. And on the way, they must figure out how to fix the magic protecting their homes before an unfriendly world discovers their existence and wipes them out.
