The year is 2024 and Chernarus is in chaos. Russian-backed separatists are fighting against the pro-Western government. TF Armistice has collapsed and left PMCs to carry on the fight. Weary of more foreign entanglements the US leaves the fight to TF 141 and a PMC called Shadow Company, which conducts Foreign Internal Defense Operations. This is an Operation Runestone Thriller.

Task force 141 was one of the best forces that the military has ever created there were over dozens of members but each of them died in battle trying to stop the Russians and the Americans from destroying each other one day there was the last six remaining members were going to their final mission to kill the Russian man that killed thousands of innocent people, soldiers and his own men the remaining task force 141 went to stop him as they shoot their way through his men until four of the members were going to take the shot the part the building that they were standing on falls into the ocean but for some reason when four members went back to the surface they noticed that the city was destroyed and machines were roaming around the one thing they knew was "where the hell are we" .
