What goes on inside our minds can be very complex, sometimes too complex to put into words. However, as we see in science, every complex concept becomes easier to understand when we use analogies, for our brains are inherently experts in pattern recognition. So, here I am, expressing my mental health challenges in the form of a light-hearted story, representing my various battles through characters. I hope you'll find it relatable, as we all face these challenges at some point

*Undergoing Major Rewrite and Editing* Mudassir had it all-awards, friends, and a reputation that turned heads. But glory is fragile, and when life kicked him down, it didn't just bruise him. It shattered him. Now, he's trapped in the outskirts of Karachi, living with a violent father who drinks more than he breathes and a mind that's its own worst enemy. Once the life of the party, Mudassir is just another man drowning in rejection-job rejections, romantic failures, and his once-unshakable ego lie in ruins, a battered remnant of who he used to be. Until he sees her. Yusra Haroon. Selfishly stunning. Charmingly unapproachable. His therapist-to-be. An accomplishment he's looking to unravel. Suddenly, it isn't healing he's after. It's her undivided attention. Therapy sessions turn into a game, and to Mudassir, her kindness isn't just compassion. It's the reward of the price he's paid. It's proof that she wants him, even if she doesn't know it yet. But when she tries to set clear boundaries, he does what he's always known best. And that's not sounding good for the two of them. Because anything that's chased runs. But for him, love isn't about letting go. It's about never losing. ----------------------------------------- Trigger Warning: This story explores themes of depression, anxiety, panic attacks, narcissistic personality disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), suicidal thoughts, and death threats. He leans in, his breath ghosting over my skin, every inch of space between us collapsing. "Still pretending you have a choice?" His voice is soft, almost amused. My throat tightens, but I force the words out anyway. "I don't belong to you." A low, knowing chuckle rumbles through him. Fingers tighten around my chin, tilting my face up until I'm caught in his unyielding gaze. Cold. Calculating. "Belong?" he echoes, as if the word itself is laughable. "You exist because I allow it. You breathe because I haven't taken that from you... yet." Tears burn at the edges of my vision, but I don't dare look away. "Fight all you want," he murmurs, his grip unshaking. "Scream, beg, break-I don't care. In the end, little one, you'll learn. Because every part of you?" His lips brush against my ear, a cruel whisper of finality. "It's already mine." __________________________________________ A meaningless prank call caused this disaster, a series of deaths and misery. And maybe it was more than a prank call... maybe it was your loved ones, the people you least expect it to be, to stab you in the back. After all, they do say money changes a person. **18+** **DARK ROMANCE**
