matt sturniolo and sophia delgado spend their summer holidays together, later ending up in a relationship. the two young people fall in love with each other and share a profound feeling they have never experienced before. however, everything changes when the summer season comes to an end, leading matt's beloved girl to leave the state. columbia university presents sophia with the perfect opportunity to chase her dreams of becoming a doctor.
