Sixty years. That's the life sentence I stared down, a future as monotonous as yesterday's oatmeal. Then, a hidden door, a whispered promise. "Dreamera," it beckoned. Inside, dreams weren't vacations - they were entire lives, bottled and gleaming. Love, wealth, adventure - all yours for a terrifying price: a chunk of your own remaining time. Would you swallow the pill and trade a few years for a lifetime of stolen happiness? Or watch the clock tick down, knowing you held eternity in your hand, and let it slip away?

"love story" we all have heard this term many times in our lives but there are 80% people who are stuck in an one sided love or have never experienced a true love. Riya was just thirteen when she first saw Aarav at their school, a boy with an easy smile and eyes that seemed to hold the secrets of the universe. For her, it wasn't just a crush-it was a dream, a promise, a story she believed was meant to be. She admired him from afar, cherishing every fleeting moment they shared in the same classroom, from his laughter echoing in the hallways to the way he brushed his hair off his forehead when deep in thought. As the years passed, Riya's feelings for Aarav only deepened. She would write his name in the margins of her notebooks, replay their brief conversations in her mind, and imagine a life where he might one day see her the way she saw him. But life, as it often does, had other plans. Aarav was kind, charming, and friendly, but to him, Riya was just another classmate. He was oblivious to the love that quietly bloomed in her heart, too engrossed in his own ambitions and the fleeting teenage romances that never seemed to last. As they grew older, Riya's unspoken love became a bittersweet companion. She watched from the sidelines as Aarav dated other girls, confided his dreams to friends, and pursued a world she felt too afraid to enter. Though her heart ached, Riya found solace in the idea that love could exist even if it wasn't returned. But fate has a curious way of testing hearts. "A Glimpse of Forever" is a poignant tale of longing, self-discovery, and the complexities of love that refuses to fade, reminding us that sometimes, the greatest love stories are the ones we write for ourselves.

ONC 2024: In college, it was a case of wrong place/wrong time. Eight years later, they have a second chance. But will they take the leap? ___ Prompt 14: "My muse, believe me, waiting for you has been a form of freedom." ___ Excerpt: "Don't look back." Ian stares at me through the screen with his dark, intense gaze. "Don't long for all the things that might have been. Don't chastise yourself for the decisions you've made." For a moment, his words render me silent. "Appreciate all those little indentations that make you who you are," he says with a tender expression. "And remember your superpower." "What superpower?" "Let yourself dream again." A tender smile crosses his features. "Focus that intense drive of yours on the future like you used to do." He's right. For so long, I've been living in survival mode. One foot in front of the other. Stuck in this nightmare, I haven't been able to see any other way forward. Until now. "You're free now," he says, "to make better choices that will make you truly happy." For a moment, I let my mind take me wherever it wants to go. Right now? It wants to be in Boston, beside him. But can I leave everything behind?
