Karolina had always been a little tougher than everyone else. Losing her parents as a kid, getting taken in by Bobby Singer, and growing up with two guys who thought "normal" was a pipe dream would do that to a girl. She was a force to be reckoned with, no doubt about it. But here's the thing-they don't tell you how hard it is when you want out. When you want something more, something different. Like, say, a life that doesn't involve demons and salt lines and always looking over your shoulder. Like a life at Stanford, where the biggest dangers are midterms and forgetting to set your alarm.
