Zoe has just graduated high school and been accepted to Yale, the college of her dreams. Growing up dirt poor, she has worked long hours, scrimped and saved, and managed to score a few scholarships, all to make her dream come true. Zoe almost has enough to cover her tuition fees. Almost. 

Just when things look desperate, she’s presented with an opportunity she can’t refuse: all Zoe has to do is participate in an experiment for Yale’s Science Department, and they will pay her more than enough to cover her shortfall.
