The story the Rothschild dynasty begins in the post sixth industrial world of 2075, where Victorian-era morality and ethics continue to dominate and propagate through the cultural psyche of the steampunk-esque landscape.
The aging elders of the first generation of the family stubbornly cling to the ideologies that shaped their youth between the 2010's and 2030's, and using their hard-earned wisdom as a means to guide the growingly nihilistic and cynical younger generation who've grown disillusioned with the ever looming presence of technology and artificial intelligence in their lives, forming anti-establishment movements and undercover coalitions with government and city officials to undermine the efforts of programmers and techies in advancing the capabilities of AI.
