No doubt Percy experienced an interesting childhood with his doting mother and later his stinky stepfather Gabe.

But Nerissa's tale began differently, her childhood full of obstacles and achievements, travels and deals, fights and speeches, friends and foes. Nerissa built a name for herself from the ground up. She might eventually come under the attention of her own family, the Olympians. But for now, while she was hidden from them, she would achieve her goals. Nexus Enterprises. No matter what.

(Slight multifandom/pjo but through the series will hopefully be pjo-centric. Disclaimer: I don't own the normal characters, that belongs to their individual stories/creators, I only own my own peeps and my plot. I also don't intend any disrespect or harshness in any mythology I depict, I respect them all very much but have things in certain situations for the sake of the plot. From what I've checked, it's overall pretty decent.)

Poseidon calls in a debt with Artemis to protect Percy when he is 6, and Artemis agrees reluctantly, and until he is 12, she protects him, honoring the debt, and does this by taking the form of a 6 year old mortal, and they become friends, which Artemis never expected. This makes their eventual separation when Percy turns twelve all the more painful. Artemis reveals her true form to him after he saves her from Mount Othrys, no longer being able to stay away from someone who'd become her closest friend and the two grow close once again. Eventually, a series of unexpected events occur, and a new threat is on the rise, and Percy is forced back into the divine world, and this threat makes the previous wars seem like the good old days. At times I know I've made pacing either too fast, or too slow, and things may seem rushed, or that they take forever, but I've done my best to write this as well as I could, this is also the first story I've written in First Person POVs, swapping mainly between Artemis and Percy, occasionally with other characters where it's relevant. Also this story is way longer than I intended it to be initially, mostly because I didn't have a plan, and also because after a certain point I just began saying "You know what? Fuck it. Why not" and adding a lot of stuff, so yeah there's a lot of different sub plots and storylines within this story, that's pretty much the main reason it's so long, I've done my best to make sure there are as few plot holes as possible, and that each arc ends properly, but there's probably still some.

Annabeth has attempted suicide many times, but the only thing keeping her from actually doing it, is her best friend Percy Jackson. They've been friends since they were6years old. Percy was abused by his former stepfather, who is now in prison for child abuse. Sometimes he has flashbacks, and panic attacks. But over the years they have left. But something happens and they return. Now Annabeth is 14, and Percy is moving. Possibly to never be seen again by Annabeth. What will happen now? Oh, and by the way,...
