Estelle Avril McGill, better known as Stella, has always felt as though she was in the shadow of her younger sister, Stacey-despite being the older sister. She passed most of her classes with only B's and C's and absolutely flunked each of her math classes every year, while "little miss perfect Stacey" aced all her classes and did especially well in math. Hearing her parents brag about Stacey was always painful, it wasn't like her parents hated her-because they didn't-but she clearly didn't get as much attention as her sister.

This year would be different. She would do better in school. Focus more in school. She wouldn't let herself get distracted by her singing hobby. She definitely wouldn't embarrass herself on her roller skates. She would get better friends. And, most importantly, no one would know she's bipolar....
