This is a short story about a young man and an incident he (somewhat) overcomes. This is a werewolf story, yes, but not a cliche-d one I hope, as it includes much more unhappiness and gore and such. There is no swearing, no nasty in-bed stuff, but there is gore. I mean, animal-mauling-blood-everywhere gore. Sorry, but in a werewolf reality, it would be rather dark and disturbing. If you do not like those things, please do not read for your own sake. Other than that, mild humor included. No idea if I'm going to write another story with the same sort of people or not, so I will get back to you later about that. Anyways, have fun and good luck. All characters' names and characteristics and fiction, I did not take them directly off somebody, so in cases of coincidence where you or someone you know looks like a character, my apologies, but I swear I didn't look up people and write their description. Just saying.

Now humanity must fight to survive amongst literal zombies, vampires, and horrific fungal spores capable of reducing even the strongest to nothing. Emily lives with a small, ragtag group of survivors, her friends before the outbreak occurred. When one of them falls ill, in dire need of medicine, the group is forced to travel to the hospital across town, where they discover something, or rather someone unexpected. Mark was a normal person before the outbreak, before he was bitten by his own father, before everything went to hell in a handbasket. Now he lives under the hospital with his trusty cat Buckwheat, hiding from the daylight and wondering why him, out of all the infected, has to "live" with the curse of sanity after his demise. A chance encounter leaves him wondering if maybe there's more to life after death. BOOK ONE IN THE 'AFTER LIFE ENDED' SERIES
