The story revolves around two boys who were once close classmates in high school. They shared everything-dreams, jokes, and the simplicity of growing up together. But as time passed, life pulled them in different directions. They entered college, each following their own path, and with that, their once-solid friendship began to fade. The connection they had, once vibrant and full of shared moments, slowly dimmed under the weight of distance, new experiences, and the inevitable changes that come with growing older.
Years later, they cross paths again. The meeting is unexpected, yet there's a familiarity between them-a reminder of the bond they once shared. However, despite the familiarity, everything feels different. The years apart have altered them, shaped them into different people than who they were in high school. They have grown, faced new challenges, and their lives have diverged in ways that can't be ignored. The change is palpable. It's in their mannerisms, the way they speak, and the things they now care about.
But the question remains: What does change really mean?
Change is not just about the passage of time. It's about growth, about the way life shifts around you and the way you shift in response. It's the people you meet, the experiences you have, and the lessons you learn that gradually reshape who you are. Change is inevitable-it's a part of life. It means that nothing stays the same, not even the strongest bonds.
In the case of these two former friends, change is a bittersweet realization. It's the understanding that the connection they once had has been altered, but not necessarily lost. It's about finding out who you are now and whether there's still room to reconnect with who you once were. The meaning of change lies not in regret, but in the acceptance of the journey, and the quiet, inevitable evolution of who you become, both individually and in relation to others.
In life, we do things we regret, or that we wish we could wipe from our memory forever. At the age of 15, I didn't think I'd regret anything until I was an adult. I considered myself care free. I lived life one day at a time. Well, as much as a 15 year old can. But in life, there are also things that we can't change, that we can't forget. Circumstances change, events occur, and life as we know it is altered forever. For me, it was one night, that set in motion a series of events that I wouldn't be able to forget, even if I tried to.

My life was spectacular, or cool, but I was content, and that's all that mattered. I wasn't overly popular, I wasn't the prettiest girl, and I didn't live in a mansion. I did have a great boyfriend, and amazing friends, and hell, I wasn't doing too bad in school either. But that all changed one night, as I was walking home at night. I witnessed a man murder someone he claimed was a snitch, something to do with a gang deal gone wrong.
When I found my parents dead the next day in a serial killers wet dream, my naive self decided the best thing I could do, was run, giving up everything I loved.
After 2 years, 3 dead members of the gang and a new school, I was found. When secrets are unraveled and with the FBI somehow involved, nothing is as it ever seemed.
