Shattering The Cycle (Mario The Music Box ARC: Wonderland)

"You, along with many others, have succumbed to this world and the darkness it harnesses. It's the same ending no matter what you do. The conclusion will always be the same. Her cycle of endless torment and suffering will only continue if you give up. You have to break free from this cycle. Break free from her grasp. Escape Wonderland and return to your own world.

This was what you wanted all along, was it not? Now, you have a second chance. Don't let this go to waste."

With the aid of a mysterious entity, which shares a resemblance to the cheshire that allowed him such power, Mario is made aware of the cycle he has endured all this time in this godforsaken world and is provided the opportunity to free himself and return home once more. It won't be so easy, however, as the God of this realm will not let him escape. Is this the time where he can finally get his happy ending with those he cherishes?

This story is based on the game (Mario) The Music Box ARC, specifically the Wonderland DLC released in 2019 and created by Team Ari and Corpse Syndrome. This DLC has only two endings, so I decided to create a third ending route to show my interpretation of what a good ending may look like. It is recommended you play through the DLC first hand, as this is a continuation of one of the two endings and, therefore, will contain spoilers.
The characters of Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, and Toad(s) belong to Nintendo. Other characters involved belong to Team Ari and Corpse Syndrome. Art featured created by me.
