Winter Jones is a 16 year old greaser girl. It's her and her friends Dallas, Darrell, Sodapop, Ponyboy, Two-bit, Steve, Sydney, Butter, and her very best friend (like, EVER) Johnny. They're on the outside looking for a way in. But what happens when she finds one? When Winter's mother finds a job as the co-owner of the most popular shop in Tulsa, she goes from Greaser to Soc in a matter of days. Feeling betrayed, the gang cuts her out of the group, forcing her to find new friends in the form of two Socs: Cherry and Marcia.
Winter doesn't show it, but misses her old friends badly. As Cherry and Marcia reshape her life, she starts to wonder if maybe Johnny misses her too?
Madeline Craft. 19. College freshman. Ex-greaser, or so she thought.
When she gets a custody call that her two siblings were seemingly abandoned in their Tulsa home, there's no option: she has to go back. It wasn't ideal, but her little brothers, four-year-old twins Jack and Graham, they needed her more than she needed college. Besides, college would always be there if she could ever go back.
But on a cold day, back at her high school job working at The Dingo, she meets someone that makes anything poor become great.
All rights to SE Hinton besides my additions :)
