Instead, they serve as spaces to write comments, criticism, and opinions. Marked with red ink, breaking down sentences. An intrusion on passion poured into words that prying eyes are not meant to see.

Margins are everything left unsaid. Where assumptions are made, and the silence is loud.

This is a story about the space between what we say and what we mean. About the edits we make to ourselves to coexist with someone else. And when faced with a word and page limit, everything we choose to keep out.
