Dilara didn't want to join the Revengers (yes, yes, she's calling it that because, honestly, why would she ever be part of the Avengers? It's too mainstream for her).
Steve Rogers, on the other hand, was desperate for some kind of purpose. After being unceremoniously dumped out of the ice with nothing more than a shield and a permanently stuffy nose, he figured he'd jump into the whole "saving the world" gig again. Joke's on him, though, because Dilara - no last name, just like Cher, but cooler - had other plans. She'd be the one stealing his focus, attention, and probably his sanity with her mystical powers, and her eyes. Don't even get him started on those eyes.
Being forced into the Vengeance Squad (because, apparently, "Revengers" wasn't going to fly with the marketing department) to fight some random alien hottie? Yeah, sure, that wasn't what really brought them together. It was more the fact that Steve couldn't for the life of him figure out why the hell Dilara would talk about him like he wasn't literally standing right there. She'd be yammering on, describing him like he was some mythical creature, and Steve would just be like, "I'm literally in the room. Are we doing this? Really?"
But no, apparently, that was just how she rolled. And by "rolled," he meant: completely derailed his entire sense of reality. So, of course, he's intrigued. What else was there to do when your only job was to look pretty and throw a shield around?
