We all know the tragic story of Dreamtale. Nightmare snaps from the villagers' abuse, and after losing himself to the apples and Corrupting, he turns his rage and power against the Multiverse. And there's poor Dream, left to pick up the shattered pieces of his life and is quickly forced into fighting the same brother he lost.
However, this Dreamtale is different. Nightmare doesn't seek power, carnage, and the suffering of others.
...He just wants his lost brother back.

Meanwhile... Dream is just trying to survive, having lost the hope of freedom and escape long ago.
