"Stupid game.. Stupid people," Warchief thought to himself, groaning as he started at the Defeat Screen. He wasn't no tryhard by any means, but god, it seemed like people could never actually get on his level and understand how to play properly.
The bean-shaped thing let out a huff of annoyance as he dwelled within his thoughts too much, hand going onto his visor and pinching it. He thought back to rounds he could've won, how much better this game could be if half the player base wasn't trolls or kids who couldn't even spell restaurant... Maybe he just needed some fresh air, is all.

She's just getting settled in when she meets an interesting salesman. He tells her that she can play games for money. Making a little money won't hurt... or will it? She'll find out when she decides to join the games. She may also find more than wealth and death in the walls. Maybe she'll find love. This story is a slowburn that includes some enemies to lovers themes/undertones. The reader is female! ~~~ NOTES/ANNOUNCEMENTS/WARNINGS: When Y/N is in the games, I basically follow everything in Squid Game Season One, but I changed a few quotes and events to better suit this book and the inclusion of Y/N. The only trait I have assigned to Y/N is her player number: 055. You can imagine something else though! It won't be very important later on. Some possible triggers including: recurring PTSD, grief, mental breakdowns, drinking, hangovers, very brief sexual assault, detailed sexual assault, etc. More time-specific warnings will be present with the start of each chapter.
