Morning Dew - 晓露

Xiaolu is a 25 year old Chinese girl trying to navigate the complexities of modern life in Hainan, China. From her lukewarm relationship with her boyfriend to her dreams of independence, Xiaolu's inner conflicts mirror her external struggles with her family, societal expectations, and personal fulfillment. Nearly one year since tragedy struck her life, old memories are beginning to resurface, and amidst her routine days as a real estate agent and moments of solitude with her pet cockatiels, Xiaolu finds herself drawn to a foreign client whose arrival reawakens unquenched desires and sets in motion a chain of events that will test her resolve.
