Vasti of Vortexia isn't allowed to captain a spaceship or lead an expedition. Grand adventures are only for male Vortexians. When Vasti is offered the chance to be the caretaker of a small, uninhabited space station, she finally gets to experience the mysteries of space for herself.
But something has been waiting for her.
Something that does not belong.
Something dangerous.
If Vasti answers its call, the world could change. The question is, will it be a change for the better or the worse?
