Sage Henry, a girl with a tragic past and an even more tragic history of being thrown around in the foster care system, couldn't be more appalled to be moving to small town Brasher Falls in the middle of no where New York. But Sage finds herself drawn to the forest surrounding the town, even after being told the stories of murders and captures that have happened there. Not days later, Sage herself experiences this first hand, finding a dead body covered in strange markings and intertwined in vines. Police have given up, but Sage is determined to unravel the truth behind the deaths and with a mysterious field guide in hand, she feels unstoppable. Digging deeper though, she finds her own past could be attached, as well as secrets even her closest friends have kept from her. Will Sage discover the truth?
