"I've told you before, I don't have a story." I said, looking down at my knife. I pushed the blade against the stone, sharpening the edge slowly.

"Everyone's got a story." He said gruffly.

"Nah, not me. Not one that matters anyway."

Daryl bit his thumb. His blue eyes peaked slightly out from behind his hair that clung to the sweat on his forehead.

"It matters." He said. I shook my head.

"No," I said. "It doesn't."
