It truly is amazing how quickly your life can get flipped upside down. Actually, I take that back. In my case, it was more like my life was flipped upside down, turned inside out, spun around in circles, and blown up. I wish I was kidding. One minute I was an ambitious fifteen-year-old, working part time at the Marine Research Institute, and the next, BAM! I was preparing to risk everything to help a specimen I caught in the first place escape from the facility. And it wasn't any ordinary specimen like plankton or bioluminescent fish, either.
