Callie Mitchell is the daughter of Pete 'Maverick' Mitchell and Lex 'Spirit' Kazansky. Callie is also a pilot who graduated 'Top Gun' the same year as Rooster. When Rooster started to resent Maverick he also started to resent Callie. This broke Callie's heart thinking she had lost her childhood best friend forever. When a new mission comes along and graduates of 'Top gun' are called back Callie is one of them unknown to Maverick.
