Lex Kazansky otherwise known as 'Spirt' is a new pilot at top gun Academy. She comes face to face with many people from her past. Her brother Tom 'Iceman' Kanzansky who she hasn't seen in 2 years. And Maverick. Maverick. The father of Lex's 4 year old daughter, California (Callie). Maverick is shocked when he finds out, having had no clue. Maverick will do anything to get his girls back. But will Lex let him back in?

Callie Mitchell is the daughter of Pete 'Maverick' Mitchell and Lex 'Spirit' Kazansky. Callie is also a pilot who graduated 'Top Gun' the same year as Rooster. When Rooster started to resent Maverick he also started to resent Callie. This broke Callie's heart thinking she had lost her childhood best friend forever. When a new mission comes along and graduates of 'Top gun' are called back Callie is one of them unknown to Maverick. When Mav finds out and becomes the teacher will he let his daughter do the mission?

It actually came from the tension caused by Lieutenant Jake "Hangman" Seresin. Lieutenant Jake "Hangman" Seresin has a reputation for being unstoppable. He's always been the top pilot, so when this new trainer dismissed him, he had to prove her wrong. That is, until he makes a mistake that would change his life and Maddlyn's life forever. It soon became clear that the very mistake Maddlyn warned him he'd make came a lot sooner than he was prepared for.
