Nixie, her beautiful Tailmaiden(or in human terms, handmaiden), hides a humiliating secret. This is the tale(tail?) of two very different mermaids, told in alternating perspectives. 

A loose retelling of The Goose Girl by the Brothers Grimm with mermaids, set in the same whimsical and detailed mermaid universe as Kae-Leah Williamson's previous novellas, but it can be read as a stand-alone.
