During the Warring stages a legendary clan that rivaled the Senjus and the Uchihas in both visual prowess and strength and Uzumaki's in fuinjutsu and Sarutobis in firestyle ninjutsu were referred to as the Mikages. They were massacred before they could reach a treaty that was going to be formed between them and the Senjus.
Pinning there hopes on the clan heads daughter Izumi who was also the keeper as was called or in the more recent time jinchuriki to both restore there clans honor and avenge their deaths to their attackers.
