Jess never really gave much thought to boys. After all, she promised her dad when she was 5 that she would never date a boy because boys are "ukky."
After starting 8th grade, still keeping her promise to her dad, something tragic happens. Once she starts feeling the repercussions of the tragedy, a boy her age comes along and her "inner smitten" comes out and she is not happy about it. How will she cope with these raging emotions in her head? Will she break her lifelong promise to her dad, or will she break her growing up news to him?

We've all heard about 'the main character'. The type of person who lives through the most dramatic and improbable situations, and finds the kind of epic romance you only see in works of fiction. Which makes you think about how unrealistic love like that is. I used to think the same thing until I met him. Until I met 'the bad boy' that, as it turns out, wasn't that bad at all, just simply...a boy. A boy with an easy smile, a charming personality and looks so enticing that I couldn't keep my eyes off of him if I tried.
