Galen McKenna's dreams might finally be coming true now that he'd won a scholarship to attend the prestigious ice hockey training program responsible for creating international champions for the past 20 years.

With his tuition paid, he is ready to leave his troubled past behind and embrace his future in the small, snowy town of Cristalcrest - the desolate place where people go to face their demons and find themselves... at least, that's what he read on the website.

Galen is a practical guy; he doesn't care about any of that BS. He came to this winter wonderland to train and become the best ice hockey player of the decade, and with not much going on in town, he shouldn't struggle to stay on track... Right?

Hunter Fairlane dreams of finally participating in the district's ice dancing championship, a goal she'd pursued with her mother, who passed away two years ago. Last year, she was injured and couldn't compete in the free dance category. This year, she vowed to be on the ice with her partner, Robert Teeger, in honour of her mother and to help her father relive one of his fondest memories.
