Modern day Suzhou, formerly Gusu Zhou boasts of many things. But amidst the ruins of an abandoned hill it hides a secret-an ancient power waiting to be released. 

Ian Wei is a US resident who has come to Suzhou for a job opportunity. A day of adventure in an  unnamed hill results in an accident which opens a chamber that had been closed for thousands of years. What emerges from within are a person who has been waiting for his soul mate for thousands of years and a weapon that can turn emotions of others into energy The Stygian Yin Seal. 

Ian Wei teams up with a man who believes in the impossible in order to deal with an impossible form of energy. When his girlfriend cheats on him his resentment grows triggering the Stygian seal. Can Ian regain his bearings? Who will help him and how? 

Lan Zhan has waited for Wei Ying to be reborn for thousands of years. His strong cultivation allowed him to turn his golden core into silver, thereby becoming an immortal. The Lan family had prepared for him everything he may need. But they couldn't prepare for Wei Ying's girlfriend. The woman cheated on him, leaving him heart broken and unable to control the Stygian Yin Seal.
